Our Vision
Since our start in 2001, Chained Dog Awareness NZ Trust (CDANZ) has been a voice for those dogs permanently chained or locked away, living in dire conditions. Our goal is clear: end life-chaining in New Zealand and give every dog the life they deserve.
How we're making a difference

Education
We work with dog owners open to change, helping them provide better care—shelter, food, water, and medical attention. We also focus on social engagement for the dogs, encouraging desexing to prevent overpopulation, and ensuring compliance with registration and microchipping laws.

Support and Advice
Across New Zealand, we offer guidance, encouragement, and support to anyone ready to help life-chained dogs they come across. We provide the necessary resources and advice to empower these individuals to make a real difference.
